Just Bakery of Atlanta is a non-profit bakery that trains, certifies, and hires refugees at a living wage. Look for Just Bakery's sales table in the Historic Church before and after the 9:00 and 11:30 Masses this Sunday (and all first Sundays except Easter!).
They'll have their winter menu for the next couple of months. It consists of cheese herb bread, baguettes, chai raisin bread, multigrain boules, challah, chocolate pecan cookies, lemon shortbread (gluten-free), dark chocolate chip with sea salt cookies, jeera biscuits (Nepalese cumin shortbread from trainee baker, Bhima), oatmeal ginger cookies, orange currant rolls, and cinnamon rolls.
All of Just Bakery's baked goods are made with "good for us" ingredients that are sustainably and locally sourced. Pre-orders of Just Bakery's king cakes and Valentine's cookies (vanilla and chocolate heart-shaped cookies iced with love messages in the languages of Just Bakery's trainee bakers) are available for pre-order and pick-up at sales.
