Once again criminals are sending fraudulent messages appearing to come from Monsignor Al requesting emergency assistance. Although these messages have arrived by email in the past, they have recently begun appearing in text messages, too. Monsignor Al will NEVER ask you personally for money by text message or email. This scam is being repeated within church communities around the country. Please DO NOT RESPOND to these messages. Instead, copy the message and forward it to 7726 (SPAM), and report it to the Federal Trade Commission at ftc.gov/complaint.
