“Our parish communities are to be beacons of faith,
living out the Gospel by reaching out in love to all who
are in need, all who live on the margins of society,
all who live in fear and loneliness.”
The Pastoral Plan for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta, 7
Each year on December 1, the Archdiocese of Atlanta celebrates a diocesan-wide World AIDS Day Mass. This is a chance for people from across the Archdiocese of Atlanta to come together in community, remembering and praying for those we have lost due to HIV/AIDS and those currently living with HIV/AIDS; their families, friends and caretakers; those who work to find a cure and those who work to bring about just programs and systems associated with HIV/AIDS.
The 2015 Archdiocese World AIDS Day Mass will be celebrated by Archbishop Gregory at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 1 at IHM. A reception will be hosted by the IHM AIDS Ministry in the Historic Church immediately following the Mass.
