This ministry aims to offer attractive, informative, educational, and entertaining programs for senior adult parish members through meetings throughout the year. There are usually 3 or 4 meetings annually, including a catered luncheon at a reasonable fee. It's a chance for seniors (traditionally considered over 55) to meet each other and renew old acquaintances while learning something new and being entertained.
A celebratory event is generally held in the fall of each year and hosted by the parish. This event is designed and created to engage and celebrate all members and cultures of our diverse parish community. This ministry is responsible for planning and implementing this annual event that brings together all parishioners, ministries, parish families, and friends.
All men of IHM are invited to participate in the IHM Men's Club. We have a year-round series of events to allow the men of our parish to fellowship with one another, make new friends, expand professional networks, discover ways to grow spiritually, and learn how to become more involved in the parish.
Along with other activities scheduled throughout the year, the Men's Club organizes parish breakfasts, hosts Fish Fry nights during Lent, and prepares barbecues for the annual parish picnic.
The Mothers' Group is a subgroup of the Women's Club. This group provides support and fellowship for mothers with young and school-aged children by offering opportunities to develop friendships and share the experience of motherhood with other mothers in the parish. It also strives to serve the parish and the community through various service projects.
Current activities include meals for families with new babies, Moms' Nights Out, family picnics, playgroups, Bible studies, and service/volunteer activities.
Small Christian Communities (SCC) are groups of 10-12 people similar to those found in the church's earliest days when the Christian faithful gathered in private homes. Members come together regularly in a home setting to enjoy one another's company and to learn to find God's message of love in the Word of God and their daily circumstances.
The mission of the Newcomers' Welcome Committee is to welcome new parishioners. This ministry is focused on sharing your love for Christ by building long-term relationships with new and returning parishioners. The Committee does this by welcoming and assisting new parishioners following Sunday Mass, distributing registration packets, and coordinating quarterly newcomer receptions.
The mission of the IHM Women's Club is to provide a setting for female members of all ages of the IHM community to socialize with one another, perform service, and continually learn. The Women's Club carries out its mission by hosting monthly meetings that rotate between social gatherings, service opportunities, and educational sessions geared toward the interests of the IHM community.
The club sponsors VBS in the summer, Trunk-Or-Treat, and Breakfast with St. Nick and assists with the annual picnic.
