“If one member suffers in the body of Christ, which is the Church, all the members suffer with that member”
- .1 Corinthians 12:26
If you recently experienced the death of a loved one, please accept our sympathies and condolences. We want to offer you comfort and confident hope.
The funeral liturgy is a time for the family and friends of the deceased to gather with the Church community for prayer and support. The funeral Mass is also the central liturgical celebration for the deceased. The Church intercedes on behalf of the deceased and, through the funeral rites, commends the dead to God’s merciful love and pleads for the forgiveness of their sins. We pray with the hope that our loved one will rise to new life in Christ.
We have prepared a funeral planning guide to assist you in planning the Mass of Christian Burial for your loved one; click here to download the Funeral Planning Guide. The guide can be completed online and then printed. Of course, the parish staff is available to assist you and advise you in this planning process.
IHM will work with you and the Church’s calendar to set up a time for the liturgy. The preparation of a funeral liturgy can be overwhelming. We are here to help you however we can.
