Are you looking for a way to enter more fully into Lent with our parish community? Join us and Augustinian Father Jim Friedel for a Parish Lenten Mission, March 9-11.
Each evening will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the church. The nursery will be available for childcare every night.
Father Friedel will be offering “mini missions” each morning after the 8:30 a.m. Mass. He will also be preaching at all English Masses this weekend, so please welcome him to our community!
March 9 - “The Gift of God’s Love For Us”
The opening night of the retreat seeks to consider the reason Jesus came among us, namely, to tell us of God’s Love for us. For various reasons, many people find it difficult to believe in God’s love for them.
The Young Married Couples will sponsor refreshments in the Historic Church after the mission.
March 10 - “The Gift of God’s Forgiveness”
Having tasted a little of what God’s love for us is, the second evening provides an opportunity to experience God’s compassionate forgiveness.
The IHM Women’s Club will be sponsoring a Lenten meal prior to the start of the mission at 6:00 p.m. in the Historic Church. Click here to RSVP for the meal.
March 11 - “The Gift of the Eucharist”
It is around the table of the Lord that we are nourished, challenged, and comforted by the Word, by the Body and Blood of the Lord, and by the presence of one another. Our Parish Mission will conclude in gathering together to celebrate the Eucharist.
