HM encourages participation, communication, and collaboration in all parish works.
IHM has consultative bodies of lay parishioners who advise and assist the Pastor and his designate. These are:
The Finance Council provides consultation to the Pastor and principal to support a solid financial foundation to fund the parish's service and ministries and educate the children in the faith of the Church and academics. This Council meets with the Pastor and principal every other month and communicates on an ongoing basis for financial decisions between meetings.
The Code of Cannon Law suggests that each parish has a Pastoral Council as a visioning body. The Council serves as an advisor to the Pastor and helps with current and future planning for the parish.
The Parish Pastoral Council is the consultative body that advises the Pastor in planning and sustaining the parish's pastoral life. Councilors serve 3-year terms and meet several times a year.
